hey, earlier last month my laptops screen would randomly start flickering and after i moved it slightly it would fix. now its gotten a lot worse and happens way more often and its hard to get rid of it. im assuming i would have to get it repaired but does anyone know the general issue? the screen flickers and stretches vertically a ton and is all black, white and grey. also how much would the repair cost be and would it just be worth it to upgrade my pc instead? specs for laptop and pc that ik listed below:

laptop:

16GB DDR4 2133mHz

240GB SSD

1TB HDD

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M

PC:

intel pentium g4560

8GB DDR4 2133

1TB 7.2K RPM HDD

RX580 8GB

It could be something larger like a faulty screen or just a lose cable from opening and closing the device.

Have you tried contacting customer support on the laptop?

Another thing. Do you know what motherboard you have and PSU for the PC? That'd help a ton in means of wanting to upgrade.

i have an ASRock H110M-HDS but if i were to upgrade my PC id prob buy a ryzen mobo and cpu (ryzen 1700 or 2600). my psu is 550w bronze from coolermaster. ill try contacting customer service for the laptop now but its been a couple years and i dont think its under warranty anymore

Even if the device isn't under warranty they may be able to point you in the right direction for repair
