So I've got this build here, and I want to put the finishing touches on it with ram, and possibly some SSD's shortly after in anticipation for steam summer sales etc.

Ram is easily the next obvious step, and have been told from bapc disc to get cl16 3000mhz at the cheapest price i could. 2x8gb dual channel for 16gb total.

Upon searching for some suitable ram on www.newegg.ca I sorted by speed, dual channel 8gb and lowest price, and saw some team group 2x8 for 110, but it didn't match the color scheme i had, red and black or black in grey in a blue and white case just didn't make much sense to me.https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313777

The second one i looked at was the same company, but for 15 more bucks i could get RGB and it matched the color of the pc. however reading the reviews a few people said they had gotten the wrong mhz ram (which i think you can fix in bios anyhow and that it died on them instantly or within a few months/weekshttps://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820331042

I quickly looked at https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820331023 which had more mixed reviews and apparently issues syncing rgb.

Then i looked at https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820236353, they seem good. thinking they might be right.

On the higher end i looked briefly at https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820236418 and they have excellent reviews but they are starting to get pricey.

Any recommendations? should i take a chance on the cheaper ram that may crap out, or spend a bit more on name brand stuff that we have all heard of before.

Would love your guys input.

TL:DR:  Don't know what type of ram to get for ryzen machine.

Small edit, i can probably sell the ram stick in the pc now to either friendly local pc shop or someone on FB/kijiji.

I've had much better luck with Corsair than G.Skill on AMD systems. Have only used Team on Intel systems and it worked flawlessly there. Ryzen has been much pickier on RAM than anything I've used since the old Athlon XP doing sub-ambient overclocking, lol. Even those early A64s doing above-ambient watercooled overclocking. Though that could just be me. Bought this exact kit and it ran 3200 at tighter than advertised timings on a 2400G for a while, then ran 3466 at almost the advertised 3200 timings on my 2600.
