Current PC I have is FX6300, RX480, 12GB, VS550 PSU. I got this machine in 2014 and upgraded a few things (namely the GPU). But now it's time for a CPU upgrade and I decided to go with Ryzen 5.

So I chose my parts:

Ryzen 2600,

2x8 GB Corsair 3000 Mhz

MSI B450M PRO-VDH

That system booted up, but I had an issue with it hardware reserving half of my memory + it's internal sound system wasn't even detected by Windows and so on...

So I returned it, thinking it's the mobo. Went to a different retailer and got myself a Gigabyte B450M DS3H. But now nothing. When I flipped the power on after assembly, nothing. No PSU, CPU or GPU activity at all.

It's the mobo again then. Returned it back to them but they said it was fine on their end. I ended up returning it back to them because I was out of options in my mind and decided to get a third, different motherboard. I bought it from the second retailer again, but a different brand: Asus Prime B450M-A.

Surely this time it's going to work. No. Of course not. So I'm like, it's the PSU. This old garbage Corsair VS550 is bad right? It worked with the first mobo (MSI PRO VDH), but now it's just acting up. Keep in mind that I've been using it this whole time with my old PC I mentioned at the top (FX,RX setup) - it still works flawlesly with those components.

So I got a new PSU: the Corsair TX550M (rated 80+ gold, semi and pretty high in the PSU ties lists out there). THE PC STILL DOESN'T WORK! Still no life from the whole thing: No CPU, GPU or PSU activity at all. I tried the scredriwer pin method, plipped the switch... all sorts of shit. Tried to boot the PC without GPU and/or RAM. Nothing. Just a big nothing.

It's the CPU then, right? - the one thing that I need to have a PC? I sent it back to them and I got an email this morning saying it works fine on their end.

I'm livid and I don't know what to do. Been trying to asseble this thing since December. Surely I was going to be ready by the time Exodus came out to play it, but nope.

What should I do next? Is it the RAM? Should I refund everything and start over? Am I being scammed? Because the website seems fine and reputable.

This link may help you with your problem

all that is needed is to update your bios

That doesn't really help me. The bigger problems I started having were with the second mobo. The first one worked fine as I wrote above.
