I got a new GPU to replace the one that (I thought) was DOA. If I have the 8 pin connector plugged into the GPU, the system will not boot, even on integrated graphics. However, if the GPU is not plugged in, the system boots fine. There is never any video output from the GPU, and this is the second GPU I've gotten that has had this exact issue. What have I done wrong/what is not working? GPU: XFX RX 570 CPU: i7 3770 PSU: 550w Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1.

by will not boot, do you mean nothing moving at all when pressing power button, or fan spins (normal boot, with beep) but no video output?

if its former, something isnt quite right with your psu. however even its not supplying 12v to graphics card, the system still boots.

if its latter, its possible that you didnt enable primary graphics adapter setting to auto in the bios, therefore the system still outputs from igpu.

it would be helpful if your graphics card has power led, if not properly plugged it will not light up or turn red.

why everybody post the spec of their rig here? i dont! cuz its made of mashed potatoes!
