pc problems Help

So i have this problem where i would be playing a game when i have a walktrough playing on YouTube or just at random times where my computer willl just completely freeze and emit a high piched noise,and nothing will work untill I power it off an,its not like its a intensive game i was just running Final Fantasy 7, any idea what is happing?

How much ram do you have? Maybe that’s it???

6 gigs of ram but i am upgrading to 8 soon

Yeah that could be it. Even just running those two programs with that little ram might do it. 

 

 

Edit- But I’m not entirely sure...

If you use google chrome to watch YouTube, chrome has been known to munch on RAM.

Well its not like it was using a lot  around 3 or 4 gigs at max.

It was only using 3-4 gigs at max with the game running but still.

With the game and crome(one or 2 tabs open) and i have a core 2 quad q6600 oc'ed at 2.6 ghz
