additional ssd question

Below is the build I recently built. a couple questions?

 

Can I put another SSD in this case?

 

The mother board i believe supports m.2 ssd. I am not sure though? Does anyone know if it does and if so should I go SATA SSD or m.2 SSD?

Depends. M.2's are easier to install but are usually a tiny bit more expensive than their 2.5" counterparts (assuming both are SATA drives)

M.2 doesn't change the way the SSD behaves, so yes. M.2 is just the connector as opposed to SATA which is used for basically every consumer 2.5" SSD.

With M.2 SSDs they mount right on the motherboard, 100% recommend getting one as you have room for 1 on that board. I would recommend buying a small capacity, low cost M.2 and just using it as your boot drive. Large capacity M.2 drives are very expensive.

You could get a SATA SSD with larger capacity for your games, and a boot drive M.2 for less than the cost of one large M.2 SSD.

 

Just be carefull of which M.2 you buy, read the manual for the board and see if it supports NvME M.2 drives or just SATA M.2. Not to bore you with details, the NvME M.2 drives will be quite a bit faster, and are comparable to SATA M.2 SSDs for reliability and price.

Okay im just not quite sure of my case has room for another ssd sata

Then you can't go wrong with an M.2 SSD (assuming, your motherboard supports that, I haven't checked)

So my mother board does have an m.2 slot. However if you use it it says the top 2 sata ports are disables. I believe mine are 4 and 5 or 4 and 6. Do they mean 1 and 2 will be disabled?

Yeah. The M.2 will hog those lanes so if you plug a drive into those SATA ports while a M.2 drive is installed the SATA drives won't be accessible.

Ookay so as long as i dont have my sata ssd in 1 or 2 ill be okay?
