External Blu-Ray player

Not sure if this is a Peripheral, but im looking to get a Blu-ray player because i keep getting Blu-Ray movies from friends and family, so I am unable to play them on my laptop because i have an old USB 2.0 dvd reader. I have already tried playing the Blu-Rays in the dvd drive, but they wont load at all. What external blu-ray players would you guys recommend for me? Im not sure what budget to really go for, or what brands are good or not. I bought my external dvd player for like...15$ but im sure Blu-Ray will be a bit more expensive. So my budget may be 50$? 75$? im not sure.

I use an Asus SBW-06D2X-U. It's fairly quiet, also supports 3D, if you're into that.  It also works flawlessly with AACS libraries in order to create backups of my blurays.
