Bad, AVOID laptops with U in the processor, the U is for ultra low power consuption, and to do that thei have low performance. If the page decide to play nice soon i will give you a better deal, it's just in case you have your credit card in hands ready to buy it

Absolutely wrong. You are confusing with Y series Core 2 Duo CPUs of yester years.

The U series CPU are pretty darn powerful.

@DarienCS, it is important to create thread in the right forum section to get the best help. Moved to Laptop section

These are super bulky, very heavy, machines, of poor quality at best. Battery life on these system are also awful. You have no idea of the OP needs. He didn't say he wanted a gaming laptop.

It is a fine system, but this features the older CPU model.as you noted.

There is the 8th gen option available which features a quad core CPU, but  the performance and if you need quad or dual core will really depend on what you plan to do with the system, for example If you are taking notes, the dual core is more then plenty. But if you plan to run complex simulation models while gaming and rendering videos... perhaps not.

If you are student, be aware that if you get the system from Microsoft Store (online to physical location), you have 10% off the price (you also have free shipping and free return)
