Hi. So, I have this problem. I own a HP 250 G2 with hp 218f-100 motherboard and bios version is Insydeh20 v2.7 rev F1.B. My bios is just the basic one, not allowing me to change any additional settings. Since the warranty is over I'd like to know if there is a way to push this laptop a bit more, since it's already overheating, from factory. I have already opened it twice, changed the paste and gave the whole mb a full clean. I wanna change many settings, like undervolting and a bit of overclocking and changing settings to support an external gpu. In addition to all the above sandra lite by sisoftware gave my many warnings and after googling those, are all related to the bios. I 'd like to know if there is something I could do to patch the bios / install another bios, in order to fix everything. Thanks in advance.

Honestly I don't think you'll get much more out of your CPU. Laptop CPUs are already very well optimizedto minimize heat and it's likely and changed will make it unstable. Getting an external GPU will be a matter of making sure you have the right ports. Couldn't tell you what to do about your BIOS other than maybe look into flashing it.
