Hi guys. I am planning a build for video editing and streaming. It wont be for gaming how ever as this is being done on another machine. What are your thoughts, Intel Core i9 9900X 10 Core 3.5ghz or Intel Core i9 9900k 8 core. Thanks.

A 1920X has 20% better multicore than the 9900K for only about 200 AU$ more, and the 1950X for 500 AU$ more has 50% better multicore.

(The AU$ more IS FOR THE ENTIRE SYSTEM; I'm using a ASUS X399-A w/ NOCTUA U14S TR4-SP3 for the Threadripper and a Z390 PHANTOM GAMING 4 W/ NOCTUA U14S for the 9900K)

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

If you are using Adobe programs then go for the 9900k, as Adobe is very bad at optimizing their programs,

but if you are using a video editor that can actually use multiple cores effectively (for example DaVinci Resolve etc) then go for Threadripper 2920, or 1920.

I only see your reply if you @ me.
