So I just finished watching the latest live show archive and Linus and Slick asked for some suggestion for gaming content.

There are enough lets play channels already and I don't think another one would contribute anything.

It would be awesome if it would be videos on things that the game does really good or bad.

Lets say a new first person shooter comes out with a brilliant way to switch weapons. Point out how amazing it is, how it works and why it should be used in more fps games.

With consistent hardware you can give your opinion on how well the game runs. You do video card benchmarks and compare how well they perform. How about comparing how optimized games are. Its not just the hardware industry that should improve but the software industry as well. Set up an average gaming PC (3570k, 7950, 1080p, etc) and not something most people can't afford.

Make the videos a bit more technical instead of just playing a game and spoiling the story.

"Wow the facial expressions in L.A. Noire are amazing. The developers really did an amazing job on that. Wouldn't it be awesome if Mortal Kombat had something like that."

"The boss summoning style is so well thought out in Terraria, why didn't Minecraft do something like this."

The videos won't be too long and you won't spoil the story of the game but would still show the quality and what makes it stand out from other games.

I agree with the fact that they don't need dedicated lets play videos. I think they should continue what their doing with benchmarks and stay away from playing games.

Agreed. I don't mind if they do gaming livestreams with viewers or even by themselves and we just listen. Cryaotic does this with Twitch every Saturday night and it goes from 8PM PST to ~4AM PST. I know Linus and Slick won't be able to do a livestream for that long, but a hour or two and play one game or maybe two would be great!

I like the idea of them playing games and saying how the game is geared towards X or find out if the game is optimized for Y GPU, etc. Still have a technical standpoint on it.
