You should be able to if it's similar to steam. Idk why you would want to do that but I guess you could, as people normally do the opposite.

If you don't play the game too often then I would stick the games on your HDD rather than your SSD. Games that you play pretty often should be on your SSD though.

does having firefox or chrome on ssd or hdd make any difference?

I'm not sure off the top of my head but basic small programs like that should be on your SSD imo. I personally would only stick games and very large programs (such as programming IDEs perhaps, PS, Premiere etc) on hard drives, and even those may need to be on SSD depending on how important it is for you.
