Dimming issues

I have bought a Dell P2419H monitor yesterday. When there is a darker image on the screen, the monitor automatically darkens itself (most noticeable on loading screens)

I play a game and when it gets to the loading screen it goes ultra dark and when the loading ends it reverses its brightness back up. I would like to make my monitor constantly equally bright. 

 

The monitor has a feature *Dynamic contrast* which is on by default - is that the issue and should I turn it off?

There's a quick way to find out : Turn it off and see if it goes better
