Trying to install Win10 Pro x64 on an old HP laptop I did a drive swap on.

It's got an AMD A10 APU and I think 12GB RAM, and I swapped the dying 1TB 5400RPM HDD for a 2TB Seagate FireCuda that I initialized via USB-SATA cable connected to my main PC.

It installs from USB just fine, but once I reboot and proceed to continue installation from the SSHDD, the installer hangs on "Just A Moment..." and keeps loading ad infinitum, for hours on end.

I've tried disabling secure boot, I've tried disconnecting ALL additional USB peripherals, and I've tried formatting the bootable USB stick in both FAT32 and NTFS filesystems with GPT/UEFI support, all to no avail.

Any suggestions for actually getting the OS to install?

The original drive is NOT cloneable - the drive is too far gone for a clone operation to complete successfully.
