I actually do agree with you , and I might upgrade my monitor later . maybe when my brother gets into gaming and wants to experience true eye satisfaction, Currently I am really loving my 144hz 1080p monitor tho.

I run 1440p 144hz and it's magnificent.  Got a deal (it's still available) from Microcenter online for a FreeSync Acer XF270hu with IPS Panel, 27" , and since @DeadSlayer has a GTX 1080 he'd be able to achieve enough frames to really push 144Hz at that resolution.

https://www.microcenter.com/product/478859/acer-xf270hu-27-wqhd-144hz-dvi-hdmi-dp-freesync-gaming-led-monitor $399 usd.

It's rarely ever cheaper on Amazon or other places but can't hurt to confirm, when I bought it last year Microcenter price was best.

Not bad for what it is, it's cheaper than the Acer I linked because it's a TN Panel (IPS has superior colors and viewing angles) and the FreeSync range may be a bit more narrow.  I can vouch that I'm using a GTX 1070 Ti with my Acer forcing G-Sync Compatibility (over FreeSync that thing they do now) and it works like a charm.  Your mileage may vary with this dell monitor if the Nvidia freesync forced setting doesn't work as well; but it is a nice set of features otherwise for a TN panel 155Hz.

Wow , didnt notice it was an IPS panel , makes more sense why its more expensive , Anyway, I am not planning to upgrade my monitor anytime soon tbh , Will probably do it next year or something. Will definitely consider this Acer one , looks very appealing
