GPU Help

Hi crew.

So i have been gifted a GPU and am trying to get it back up and running. It's an Asus HD7970 (triple slot card)

But i have been told the card does not boot?

Any ideas what i can do for the first diagnostic steps to check and get it running again?

I mean, trying to boot with it and seeing what happens is a good start
If nothing happens, pay attention to any noises it might make. Do fans start and then stop? Things like that.

Ok will pop it in tonight and see what happens. Hopefully i can still boot with the onboard working.
