Good day forum. So recently I upgraded a few of my pc parts and now I have some slight problems. So I upgrade my pc, I got a second hand gtx 1070 asus dual oc, a kingston 500gb SSD, and an antec 550W gold PSU. What happened at first is my pc would freeze during games. Every 10 or so minutes my pc would freeze for a solid 15 seconds. During this time I monitored CPU usage, temps etc. Only thing that happens is the GPU usage dips to 0%, as soon as game comes back the usage is back to normal. So I thought it was a dud card? Put the card in my friends PC and it works just fine. So I reinstalled windows and that helped, freezing is less frequent but now it happens even when not in games. Monitoring usage doesnt work now because if on desktop the entire thing freezes preventing me from seeing the usages until it resumes. Rather frustrating. Any tips or suggestions are welcome thank you.

System

OS: Windows 10 home

CPU: i7 4790

GPU: Asus gtx 1070 dual oc

Mobo: Asrock z97 anniversary

RAM: hyper x fury 16gb (2 x 8gb)

Storage: Kingston 500gb SSD, 3tb Baracuda

PSU: Antec 550W Gold standard, semi modular

Check drives with Hard Disk Sentinel.

Check drivers with IOBit Driver Booster.

Check temperatures with HWInfo64 or HWMonitor.

Check your motherboard for a newer BIOS.

Check if you have the latest Windows update, a recent update causes problems with some games.
