hello,

I bought new pc 5 months ago and two weeks ago bought a gpu

my config:

i7 8700

asus tuf z370-pro gaming

DIMM 8GB DDR4 3200MHz Kingston HyperX XMP Predator CL16 RGB

asus rog-strix-rtx2070-O8g-gaming

Cooler Master MasterWatt 750W, 80Plus Bronze

samsung 850 evo 250gb

wd 1tb blue

So what is going on is when I play pubg I am getting fps drops, so I started tracking it with msi after burner and I noticed when i got those fps drops my gpu gets no load limit and it downclock itself sometimes if not all the time to base clock 1400mhz. I know that gpu uses no load limit when you dont use the gpu but i wonder why its happening in the game. I tried it on dota 2 and on dota 2 all the time is in no load limit so I play the game with the base clock, well I cant complain cos its like 150-170 fps maybe it drops to 100 in fights but in pubg its anoying.
This cant be normal behaviour right?

Reinstalling windows is the quickest solution to potential software issues.

Would have highly suggested a used 1080ti for $500 instead of an RTX 2070 if you're in the US though.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Then try some older or newer drivers, or if you're on a version of windows that came out recently it may be having issues in  games.
