Overclocking on B250?

Pretty much what the title says, I bought the wrong motherboard (MSI B250 PC MATE) a while ago, and have just now gotten the urge to overclock my i5-7600k, but of course the board doesn't let me, was wondering if there's a way I can mod or alter the bios to allow me to do such a thing.

Probably not.

And replacing the Board doesn't make sense either as it is a dead Plattform.

So its best to just live with it...

Fair enough, will wait for any CPU overclocking tinkering till I make my Ryzen 2600x build then. Thanks.

no, but if its a nice b250, you might be able to sell it, and get a cheap z270 for like 50-60$.

naa, wouldn't recommend it.

Right now you should just save money and plan with X570 and a mid range Ryzen 3000 wich should arrive somewhere in Summer...

 

According to leaks, we should know a bit more at the End of the Month...

Haven't heard about the new Ryzen, though my goal range for CPU is around 200usd or less. But if they're coming supposedly around summer, might be worth waiting till Cyber Monday.
