My new build is a ryzen 7 2700x with a b450 tomahawk.

in the coming weeks I’ll be getting an rtx 2060 or 2070. In the meantime could I just put my old gtx 950 in my new rig in the mean time.

When i I get the new gpu would I have to uninstall the old drivers and install the new ones. Or simply just instal the new ones

the usual procedure is to uninstall the old drivers, remove the old graphics card, install the new graphics card, then install the new drivers.

2060 for 1440p. Don't waste your money on the 2070. You're paying 150 more for like 10 fps and 2gb of vram. It just isn't worth it.

what is amds equivalent of the 2060

Uh, Vega 64 I guess. You get the 8gb of vram and the vega 64 slots itself in between the 2060 and 2070 more often than not. If you can find a good price, get that over the 2060. Vega 56 is also very well-priced too at the moment and performs like the 1660ti.

Vega 56 if you tune it properly, otherwise the 64.
