970 evo and optane

Hi

 

I was wondering if I can run both a m.2 ssd and an optane module to accelerate my 2tb seagate barracuda. If I enable my m.2 optane genie (motherboard: MSI Z390 Gaming Pro carbon AC) My boot drive is inaccessible

Is this because it wants to run raid while it can't If i would want this to work would I have to put my m.2 ssd in sata mode ? (which would beat the point of having an m.2 ssd) or is their a way for me to get it working ?
