Android GPS help

I have an Android tablet that I use for GPS mapping. The problem I'm having is that Android doesn't support external Bluetooth GPS receivers  How do I get my tablet to see the GPS receiver? I'm using ALK Copilot Truck.Any help I can get from anyone on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
