So I have an Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming and Ryzen 5 2600

 

I have 2x4 (8 GB) DDR4 RAM in right now (3000 MHz)

I have a spare 8 GB stick of Kingston Hyper X (2400 MHz)

 

can I put that in my system alongside the two 4 GB sticks or will it crash?

You can do that, just make sure the 4GB sticks are on one side, 8GB stick on the other
