Ram compatability

I posted about a week ago asking if I can put my 1866mhz stick of ram into my PC if it only supports up to 1333mhz. Well I tried it out and my pc started making a beeping noise when I tried turning it on. Any ideas why it’s doing that?

When I put the new ram in? No, it won’t even start up. Just makes a beeping noise and stays on a black screen

put the 1866 stick of ram in and get to the bios and match the frequency and timings as the 1333 stick, power off and install the 1333 ram. what are the timings for both sticks?

Am I able to get into the bios if the computer won’t startup? Also I don’t know what the timings are/is. Sorry, not too computer savvy

the beeping is to let you know the ram is incompatible, but i think if its not supported speed, its only a chance it will run at the max speed supported by your motherboard,  which i think is not the case here

So I did this, made the beeping noise again but only twice. The computer then proceeded to pull up the bios, checked how much memory it said was installed. 8gb memory @ 1333 mhz then I clicked save and exit. Computer then started and is running right now. Should I not worry about the beeping if it’s working right now? Or should I put my old ram back in
