In January Gigabyte updated their QVL (Qualified Vendor List) for their motherboards. I can't find the compatible RAM online which they have mentioned in the QVL. I was about to build a PC for myself and came across this issue before buying.

Motherboard I am using - Gigabyte B450M DS3H

Processor - R5 2600

*Not just gigabyte but all motherboard manufacturers hv updated and i could not find compatible RAM in any of them...The module number is different

Motherboard specification states:

  1. 4 x DDR4 DIMM sockets supporting up to 64 GB of system memory
  2. Dual channel memory architecture
  3. Support for DDR4 3200(O.C.)/2933/2667/2400/2133 MHz memory modules
  4. Support for ECC Un-buffered DIMM 1Rx8/2Rx8 memory modules (operate in non-ECC mode)
  5. Support for non-ECC Un-buffered DIMM 1Rx8/2Rx8/1Rx16 memory modules
  6. Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules

That means...all known and propably not known memory brands that cover that range of Mhz will work in the mb.

The companies list memory chips that they have tested in the mb and that does not mean other types wont play.

Say a specific one and i may help more....
