Would someone be able to plug a separate key pad for gaming into a keyboard with usb slots? So for instance if i had a ten keyless keyboard with additional usb slots, then bought a keypad. And plugged it into the usb slot on the keyboard would it pass through and still function? or would it not be read for what it is for one reason or another?

Not necessarily.  Some keyboards just put a charging port on the keyboard, it needs to be a passthrough port.

I'm assuming it's a passthrough. I've used plenty of gaming keyboards and all of them were passthrough rather than just power delivery
