laggy games /slow computer

SHG_Marsh

I recently had a problem with a slow/laggy pc. I kind of solved the problem with rolling back my drivers. But now any game I play I have a laggy experience. my frames just drop. for example fortnite, I can'e play it on more than 10 fps. and I have  more than capable pc. I need to fix this. It is annoying and I can't play these games. I have tried to only have the game open in task manager but the game still lags

ill tell you what, that graphics card isn't the fastest in the world, and your CPU is a quad core and quad cores aren't super great.

That obvi isn't causing the issue though, maybe you somehow have a virus or something that's running in the background.

Last, you didn't tell me about the RAM. How fast is your RAM and how much do you have? Please do list the speed, it's important..

oof, that's slow RAM for ryzen..

Ryzen likes fast RAM and performs better with it.

I doubt this is the reason too, but I guess I wanted to know just in case..

Get the program, malware bites, and use it to see if you have anything. Also use another virus program to check, too. Post a task manager picture, but with the programs that are running while you play games.

msi afterburner>task manager.

Task manager is incredibly buggy and has readings that have usually wrong.

I have used the AMD mobile app and everything seems to be fine. It looks like I am using about 85% of my ram with discord and a game open. and I am using 100% if my GPU and around 80% of CPU

What's your usage like without a game open? My guess is honestly a virus, what Antivirus do you use?

i dont see the point of posting an issue if you're going to ignore a potential solution.
