So i changed out my MOBO and CPU from a z270 mb and a 7600k to a x470mb and 2700x. My m.2 which has windows is working beautifully, but whenever i try to plug my other two hard drives in, the computer refuses to boot and it just turns off, no post.

My other specs are

GTX 1070

32GB 3000mhz RAM (just upgraded from 16)

2TB 7200rpm HDD (will not boot when plugged in)

1TB SSD (will not boot when plugged in)

750w PSU.

Is this a power draw issue, or is it an issue with something else? (sorry if this is in the wront place i'm new to this whole thing.)

What brand of the power supply do you have?

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

I broke the sata power connector on my SSD somehow rearranging my case wiring, snapped the dog leg off of it. I plugged my connector in upside down and it did something similar, double check all of your power connectors. Also visually inspect the both ends of the connectors, you could have bent pins on something.

both ends of the power connectors? would this cause my pc to shut down right away? and how could you plug in power connectors upside down, don't they have a notch to prevent that? can you explain what to check for because I'm lost.

The dogleg, notch, whatever you wanna call it. Yeah it broke off on my SSD, on the SSD side. Absolutely no idea how it happened, my back panel wiring is pretty night though.

Just take a look at all of your connectors, male and female sides. Make sure nothing is messed up.

The male side on one of my connectors seems a little cracked, but I've tried three different power cables to no avail.
