Bought my first five string bass, MusicMan Stingray 5

Title says it all. Added a new bass to my collection (rounding the number up to two), a MusicMan Stingray 5. Lovely bass, it slaps so good, and has a sleek look to it. Bit heavy though, especially compared to my other (Fender Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass.)

Isn't she lovely? Also, like my hobo picture backdrop?

Oh yeah, so have I. Me and my dad have both dreamed of owning one of these, and I feel glad that both our dreams have been fulfilled.

No, my dad did. He's much better at photography than me, and has a camera. (Canon something or other.)

I dictate my dad's a liar. Hold on whilst I break the guitar over his head.

Considered going for a Schecter, but IMHO, there's nothing like the sound of a StingRay being slapped.

Oh I'm sure, I play regular guitar but their necks feel very nice. Great for scaling, improv etc..!

I could think of several "things/persons" making a better sound being slapped, but I guess thats not what this is about ;)

I'm more of a wind-instrument man myself.

Yarrrr, ye be warned lily-livered scallywags

I tried slapping a human with a 6.25mm amp jack up their ass, didn't have the same effect.

Wind, huh? A variety, or just one? My girlfriend is a flautist, along with a pianist.

The only instrument I've ever played is the Violin and never fully mastered it cx

Aww, mate. All instruments are worthy to me. I mean, look at some of Jamiroquai's stuff. They use the violin masterfully.

Yeah, I've heard about their necks, but still kind of glad I went with the MM.

I'm the same. I have an ancient acoustic of my dads, that has no brand name on it, because it wore off, which I detuned to B-E-A-D-G, and then I sacrificed the last string. Voila, hobo acoustic bass.

Would kind of like to learn to play normal guitar though.
