Windows Update Error - Help please!!

I've been having a ton of issues with my PC updating (or, well, not) and have got through most of them. However, I am stuck with a 0x8024200d error when trying to install the February 2019 KB890830 update. I have run sfc /scannow and there are no errors, and I am stuck in a loop of preparing to install, downloading and installing, without it ever actually installing. Anyone know anything I can try to fix this? Help would be much appreciated!

I have googled the error, and thus ran sfc and restarted windows update in services.msc. Still no luck, now it just gets stuck on 20% when downloading

Have you tried making a new install media and reinstalling?

Reinstalling windows? I did that 2 days ago to fix some of my other issues, but that will be my last resort

Rather than reinstall, try the repair option.

I've gone for it. Last time I refreshed my PC and this time I'm resetting, after backing everything up. Issues like these make me realise why people buy macs

Try to download and install it offline.

You can download it from Microsoft here (link).

 

Sometimes, you get more useful errors when you use the standalone installer.
