I am currently purchasing parts to buy and build a new rig for my Grandsons Birthday in April ( the 1st of April actually, but he's no fool ) he is Sixteen this year and i thought i would surprise, and spoil him, as he is always coming to my house to play his games.

This not only takes up hard drive on my PC but also time.

Any way i'll skip to the point, have bought the following parts :-

Asus Maximus X hero Motherboard

1 x Samsung MZ-764-1TB 860 Evo SATA 3 Hard Drive

1 x Samsung 970 pro 512gb NVMe V-NAND M.2 PCI

Corsair Vengance LPX 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4 3200MHz c16 XMP 2.0 RAM

NZXT KRAKEN x52 AIO Water cooling unit - 240mm

1x Valugist 2.5" - 3.5" Internal SSD/HDD Mounting kit Metal Bracket Adapter with SATA 3.0 Cable.

EVGA Supernova 850 G2 Power Supply

Intel core i7 8700k s1151 Coffee Lake 6 core 12 thread 3.7 GHz 4.7GHz Turbo 12mb Cashe 1200 MHz GPU 95w

EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 xc ultra gaming 6GB GDDR6 vr ready Graphics card 1920 core 1365 MHz GPU 1830 MHz Boost.

I think i only need a case (and window's 10) which i will purchase next week.

Unfortunately  i will need someone, with time one their hands, to put it all together for me ( any offers )

I live in Kidderminster but can travel and will pay anyone to do this for me.

I already have prices from local stores, but as far as i am concerned they are far too expensive," keep it real".

Have you ever assembled a PC before? If you're unsure of the process I can provide some links to video tutorials showing how to build a PC.

It might even be a project that you and your grandson would like to work on together? It would not only teach him how to assemble a PC, but he can learn about all the components and what they do, and if anything ever goes wrong he can diagnose and replace parts or even upgrade parts further down the line.

I have never built a PC before, and as far as my Grandson helping me , i was hoping to keep the gift a surprise for his Birthday. But i will still accept the links you offered, although i am a little worried about where to connect everything to.

If you don't know or are hesitant, you can always make another post here - I'm sure people will be willing to help (and troubleshoot) the build.

This video is mostly relevant for current builds. If you're running into no post problems, you can bug-test through this.

Fan Comparisons          F@H          PCPartPicker         Analysis of Market Trends (Coming soon? Never? Who knows!)

Designing a mITX case. Working on aluminum prototypes.

Open for intern / part-time. Good at maths, CAD and airflow stuff. Dabbled with Python.

That's understandable. Everything is pretty much keyed to fit in one way so it's actually difficult to plug something in the wrong way.

These are some good videos for someone who has never built a PC before. About 45-60min each but they walk you through each step of the process.

And if you get stuck along the way I'm sure there's plenty of people on the forums who would be happy to help guide you along.
