System upgrade

Hi guys shubhankar here from India. I want to upgrade my system in April. I currently have a core 2 duo e7400 without any gpu. I wanted a low to mid range system for gaming along with a display as my screen does not support new display standards. Please recommend a cpu and gpu for me keeping in Mind India pricing. BTW AMD is much more expensive here. Or should i just buy a low end gaming laptop.
