Computer doesn't display Windows 10

Go to solution Solved by Detective_Fox,

Also update: I was able to boot up and Windows is running as normal.

But I still have questions over why it didn't boot up in the first place, is there a way to prevent that from happening?

The way to describe the issue would seem very vague, but it goes in a order like this:

Turn on PC -> boots up -> Windows Logo & Loading Screen is shown -> then black screen, Windows 10 isn't seen

I would doubt that there's anything wrong with either the GPU or the motherboard that would cause this issue (since I could see windows load and the system boot up), however I found no solution to solving this type of problem.

Specs

Intel i7-4790

ASUS GTX 1060 6GB

16GB DDR3 RAM

(can't find motherboard ID)

First off all, did this just happen? Is this a fresh install and now the first boot shows this issue?

This just happened out of the blue, completely at random. This is a 5 year old PC that was able to boot without any problems.

Sometimes Windows is stuck on trying to "fast boot", even if you shutdown it stores some of the information in RAM to boot up faster.

This can however corrupt and will sometimes lead to either a crash or just locks up.

Nothing you can do about it other then disabling the fast boot option in Windows.

a worst case senerio fix would be making a bootable windows drive (windows media installer) and make a new version of windows after formatting the drive through the installer.

Current main PC:

CPU: R7 7800x3d (PBO undervolted)

GPU: 7900XT

RAM: 32gb Gskill Ripjaws S5 6000mhz

MOBO: Asus TUF B650e wifi

CASE: Xtia Xproto ATX

Server PC:

CPU: Xeon X5690

GPU: R9 Fury X

RAM: Assorted 4gb sticks (24gb total)

MOBO: Asus Sabretooth X58

CASE: Alienware Area 51 ALX
