Powercuts!

DrDisrespect

Hello!

I am having some problems. First of all I don't use any ups for my pc. I always have unfortunate powercuts 2-3 times (sometimes even 4) daily. Now my question is...

Can having some powercuts daily damage my pc's hardware? (I mean Motherboard, CPU, GPU etc.)

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

yes, I hope at the very least you have your computer plugged into a surge protector

The component most vulnerable in a power loss is your HDD, which will be logged in S.M.A.R.T as an unexpected power loss. Voltage spikes from outages may also fry components if your computer is not plugged into a surge protector.
