Hey guys,

So my friend asked me to help him put together a pc thats good at video editing and some light gaming (LOL and Dbd).

He edites with Premiere Pro and Aftereffects. He edites aftermovies and clips mostly.

I am still not sure about the PSU, i think that should get changed. Also i was thinking about replacing the 2080 with a 2070 to safe some money.

I have put the build i made for him down below in a screenshot and also will include it right here:

RAM:

HyperX 16 GB DDR4-3600 Kit werkgeheugen
Zwart, HX436C17PB3AK2/16, Predator RGB, XMP 2.0                                                                  x2

PSU:
Corsair AX760, 760 Watt voeding                                                                                                x1

CPU cooler:                                                                                                                                     x1

Storage:

Samsung 860 QVO, 2 TB SSD                                                                                                  x1

Seagate BarraCuda, 4 TB Harde schijf                                                                                     x1

Looks great so far.

If you are editing professionally longer videos you should consider getting more RAM. Maybe 24GB or even 32GB? Really depends on the work.

I have selected 32 gb ram, got 2 sets of hyperx 16 gb ram :)

There are a few changes I would make.

The Gigabyte Z390 boards are better than Asus on Z390. I would look at the Gigabyte Z390 Designare as it is aimed at content creators and has some good features.

A Gigabyte Gaming OC gpu has a longer warranty of 4 years when registered. Not sure if you need a 2070 or 2080 etc but they might be cheaper than Asus versions.

You can get a 32GB 3000MHz G.Skill kit for less money. It isn't RGB but it is less than half the cost.

Swap out the Samsung 860 QVO for an NVMe SSD. This is one situation where a fast SSD should come in handy. You have the Samsung 970 EVO or PRO and other drives like the Western Digital Black NVMe SSD etc. Looks like there are only 1TB versions, but the Designare board has dual M.2 slots.

For the psu I would go with the Corsair RMx/RMi. A 650W should be more than enough.

You could also look at the BeQuiet Silent Loop 360mm AIO as an alternative to the X72.

Shame there are no Phanteks cases on that site which is a bit weird as they are a Dutch brand. The P600S is a nice case from them.
