I have a i5 6500 witg gtx 1050ti i am planning on upgrading to 1660ti so will my cpu bottleneck my gpu...i game  at 1080p

Probably not. In AC Odyssey you could probably do medium or high settings w/a 1660Ti as it's very CPU bound. In a more GPU bound game like War Thunder, Apex Legends etc. you could crank them up to ultra 1080p, just be careful with render distances and whatnot in War Thunder. :D

If all you want is 60fps, your fine. If you want 144fps your cpu will most likely not deliver.

60 fps at mid to high.....

144 fps at what settings? Don't even bother....
