The Ultimate Breifcase Desktop

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to figure out how to make my current desktop as portable as possible.

I looked into buying a laptop for portability, but seeing as I already have an intel Nuc and portable screen. I thought why not and am attempting to make my own inside a briefcase.

 

Has anyone tried something like this before?

Any comments suggestions are welcome.

Interesting concept. I'm just curious how you're going to power the monitor and NUC from the power bank, and how long it would last... I don't know much about current etc, but aren't you converting wattage through the powerbank, and you need some sort of converter?

Yeah I am worried about the same thing. ..

 

The power bank outputs 19 V rated at 5A. The input power requirement of the Nuc.

Just looking at that it seems the powerbank should be able to supply the nuc by itself. However some websites say the powerbank can have short 1 second blackouts when switching loads... so I may need to install some sort of janky capacitor bank UPS system in between the two. 

 

Also if the screen is too much, I might try seperately powering it from another power bank.
