General use headphones

I'm looking for a set of closed headphones around the 100€ price tag, these won't be amplified so they should be easy to drive.

 

They will mainly be used for music and second for gaming 


I keep hearing that the m50x is great at this price range is that really true or are they a bit overrated?

The m50x's are pretty good. Also look at some of sennheiser's offerings :)

Main speaker setup is now;

 

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

 

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

Extremely. M40x's are much better and cheaper. Anyway, Creative Aurvana Live are pretty great for the price, and are much better than the entire M00x series in terms of sound quality. Build quality, though, is meh

Never tried the HD559's, and like vertix said, creative aurvana's are pretty good. Z Reviews essentially broke down on camera over them :D
