Well, the only program that increases performance directly is GPU OC software like MSI afterburner, and technically something like Intel xtu or Ryzen master for your CPU but I always recommend tuning the CPU in the BIOS. Other than that, people will be happy to recommend quality of life software, like a good antivirus.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

seems like OP just built their first gaming PC, not gonna assume they know what to avoid online, not everyone is so smart. In fact, I even use antivirus so I can visit websites that would probably give me a virus, gotta pirate that anime somehow.

There's nothing that can actually improve performance. You can overclock, but if you are getting midrange hardware, that isn't needed.

For monitoring and fan control MSI Afterburner (use Asus or EVGA skins if you have those GPUs). HWmonitor/OpenHardwareMonitor, HWiNFO64 and motherboards own software.

For general housekeeping, Malwarebytes and CCleaner.

For security, up to you. I have paid BitDefender and generally trust 3rd party AV more than Windows Defender (since they tend to be bit better overall).
