Hi guys,

Posted this on Reddit and got little to no response so I'm going to try here. I've got a couple of different things that have come up in my time with my 4th new PC I built about a month ago and I've never found answers so I'm just going to spout them here and see if I get anything to help me out, so I apologise for the essay I'm about to produce, I just want as much info to be transferred here.

First off, my PC specs:

RTX 2080 Windforce OC

Ryzen 5 2600

16GB DDR4 3000 RAM

M.2 NVME Drive for the games

It's a mini ITX build in a NZXT H200, so the air flow isn't the *greatest* but it's not bad all the same.

My first issue is FPS, I'm almost certain it only happens in one game, Anthem, I've used the PC for Apex Legends and Rocket League and get the FPS I expect. But, from Anthem, playing at 'ultra', which I would expect to be able to do just fine, in some cases is dropping me below 50FPS! I even had a frame drop yesterday which stuttered my entire game in battle and dropped me to 20-30 FPS. The reason I feel as if this is a 'me' problem, even though I've heard about how the game runs from others (badly), is because a friend of mine has an RTX 2080 as well, with a 7700K, and he averages 70FPS in the tough parts and above 100 in battle. The computer itself doesn't seem to run hot considering it's size, it averages around 70-75 celcius at 95% load on the card, neither my CPU or my GPU reach MAX capacity either. I hope someone has some insight here becasue I'm perplexed! I ran a benchmark as I was told on Reddit and this is the link for it incase it helps anyone (https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/14969812)

My second problem comes with being in-game. For some unknown reason, when I'm playing Rocket League or Apex, my game just tabs itself out for literally no reason I can see. It happens at the most annoying places and it drives me absolutely crazy and I can't find a fix! Short and (not so) sweet really.

I think that's about it for now (that I can remember), apologise for the essay once again, I apprecaite all the help in advance :)

Cheers!

1) The "Anthem" issue is actually Anthem. The stutter is all over the place in many systems. You could try windows high performance profile (or Ryzen balanced profile) to remove any parking related issue, but Stutter is not going too far away. I'd recommend to limit your framerate in this game only in order to relieve the CPU from extra unnecesary work.

2) The "games tabs itself for no reason". Sounds like a sticky key. (not literal, i mean the windows feature). I bet it happens when you hit TAB key for whatever reason... in the background the ALT key es kept pressed by sticky keys so when you hit tab the game tabs itself out. Next time it happens try to recall if you just touched tab. IF this is the case, google how to solve it, it's easy enough.

------

Lastly just for clarification, 7700K and Ryzen 2600 are different enough to not directly compare them without the required context. OS energy profile, clock, temperature are all important. Even if 10 games perform exactly the same for you and your friend, Those CPUs are in nature two different beasts with different issues.

cheers!.

In actual fact I was on to the chat support with Amazon about this and they decided to give me a refund and return authorisation for the card. Maybe it was faulty in some way for some reason? I'm not sure but I'm definitely not going with that card again!
