Unknown Problem with PC

PerryT78

Hi everyone,

So I have noticed that when I open task manager, the CPU usage is at 65% for only a split second, the process running is called 'System Interrupts', after a split second the system interrupts process only uses 0.1 - 0.5 percent usage.

I have heard that this can be caused by conflicting or corrupt drivers so I looked in device manager and saw that I had lots of the same things under 'system devices'. Is it normal to have so many 'PCI standard host CPU bridge' and PCI-to-PCI-bridge' devices? I recently updated by BIOS and chipset drivers so are these the conflicting drivers perhaps?

Thanks for all replies.

Well IMHO I think it's that's how it's supposed to be. When you open task manager your cpu gets interrupt signal to stop whatever he is doing and start task manager and for a moment he focuses on that and uses more power to do it quicker. I might be wrong but one thing I can say for sure it's not something to worry about unless it causes more issues besides this.

Looks normal, nothing to see. Move along.

Got a computer problem? Update the BIOS! ?

Everything seems fine. You might try checking other drivers, maybe even use a tool for that (the free version of IOBit driver booster).

WARNING - If it ain't broke, don't fix it?, it's actually a compliment to your system; your task manager updates fast enough that you can actually see the CPU usage, your cpu use to invoke the (massive index) list of all tasks running on your system. That is also why it drops, once your in, your in.., lol. if you want to be sure just run https://www.userbenchmark.com/
