I have a HTPC/gaming PC in my living room and enjoy using it for my entertainment needs.

However, have an issue that I would like some advice on.

I'm nicknamng this issue USB Dongle Hell.

I interface with my system about 10 feet away with the following devices

Corsair Darkcore Mouse

Corsair K63 Keyboard - (for Gaming)

Logitech - K830 Illuminated Keyboard - (For Media & Web Browsing)

Steam Controller

Xbox Elite Controller

Antlion Audio Wireless ModMic

Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT Wireless Headphones

I only have 2 usb 3.0 ports and 2 usb 2.0 on the front of the machine.

Depending on the dongle, plugging into the ports on the back of the PC makes the response choppy when they lose line of sight to the device.

I tried extending my usb 3.0 capabilities with an Anker 10 Port hub which led me to playing a game of usb dongle Tetris

where random devices would stop working or even being recognized at all.

Is there a better usb hub solution than what I have?

Would a usb 3.1 or thunderbolt expansion card with dock help this problem?

Sorry if I didn't clarify the issue at hand in my post.

I will try to clear it up here.

I have plenty of usb 3.0 ports on the back of the PC.

The issue is I need them to be exposed and have line of sight to my couch for most of these wireless devices to work properly.

I need some kind of hub or dock that I can plug all these wireless dongles into without them getting flaky on me.
