creating bootable image from VM

so i want to create image iso from machine that i work on it in VM and dump on another physical machine

 

i was thinking on make it VHD in VM and then mount it on windows and using any ghosting application to ghost it

 

do you think it will work?

the VM is one linux and another windows

Yes this should work as long as the host hardware for the VM is similar to the computers you'll be imaging to.

I know windows deployment services has a way you can convert an image and apply it to a machine so Microsoft supports it.

The host hardware is irrelevant for the image.
