GPU upgrade causing an issue

Hey guys, so I recently got an Inspiron 660 from my school, and I wanted to throw my gt 1030 into it, but every time I try it doesn't get past the boot screen, and beeps every once and awhile. When not using it, the PC works just fine, any help is appreciated!

Some motherboards have restricted which graphics cards are compatible. Especially with education devices who buy them from a reseller or the company itself.

And in most cases, the PSU in that Inspiron doesn't produce enough power to handle the card(s) properly.

probably power supply too weak

This PC has a 220 watt PSU, I'm pretty sure I can run a gt 1030 off that, but it still isn't working...

Your looking at 100ish watts on idle.  180 watts when doing stuff and 200watts when gaming.  So your cutting it close.  But I think the 12v railing should handle a 1030 GT.
