My build:

intel 4790K

MSI gaming 5 z97 motherboard

gigabyte windforce 970 nvidia gpu

RM600 psu (600w)

h100i liquid coller

ddr3 16GB ram

running windows 10

My pc switches off at random, even when there's not much load.

Here, by switches off, I do not mean like a total shutdown.

The led on cpu cooler is on, led on the motherboard is on, and all the fans are on except for the one facing rear (for which the power cable is connected on the motherboard, I've connected other fans directly to psu).

The keyboardmouse and monitor are in off condition.

Recently I am not able to even switch on my pc.

when i try to switch on, the above-explained scenario occurs.

But when I toggle the power switch behind the psu a couple of times, it starts by luck.

I initially thought that there was a voltage problem and changed my ups but the problem persists.

There seems to be no temperature issue.

I also tried removing GPU all-together but still not fixed.

(note: I did not overclock any component)

Please guide me towards a fix

regards

(note: please reply with added detail. Noob here).

if fiddling with the PSU fixes it, I'd be inclined to believe that's the issue.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?
