Ryzen CPU Stability

Ok so Im trying to build a pc but I cant choose between AMD ryzen and intel. A lot of the people I've spoken to tell me that AMD is unreliable and will give out in 1-2 years. Im hopping that isnt the case. Anyone with a ryzen cpu help me out?

Yeah that's total BS... the Ryzen 5 2600 is one of the best values in PC hardware right now, and you won't regret going with AMD.

I have two AMD systems that are somewhat old (well they WERE mine, I have them to others but they still work)

 

Phenom IIX4 965 @ 4ghz on a shit Gigaybe 880GM motherboard, that my friend uses to play fortnite

 

FX-6300 @ 4.4ghz on a ASUS 970 that I let my mom have and it works fine.

I run my 2700X as a daily driver with an all core overclock of 4.2 GHz 1.35V on the core. Have been for almost a year now and never had any issues with stability.
