NEED HELP!!

So I recently got a faster wifi speed (150 mbs) and I use a wifi adapter for my connection (my housing building wont allow me to have someone do the wiring for an ethernet cable without paying a ridiculous amount in fees). My adapter works just fine most of the time but whenever I start a stream it works fine for a few minutes before it disconnects from the wifi and then the adapter does not get recognized by the computer again till I restart it. I know that the computer can handle streaming (as I've done it before on other networks) and I'm fairly certain that it isn't the wifi that's the problem (it works normally until I'm trying to stream) so I'm wondering if anyone has had the same issue before and how to fix it or a recommended adapter for me to try instead of my current one. I'm not sure what adapter it is (as it came with my computer), if I find out I will edit this post and put it in.

I'd get a PCIe wifi card, as they tend to be much faster.

I like my Asus AC55-BT, its a good cheap model, I mostly use ethernet, but sometimes for parties and such (yes i bring my mid tower to lans)

there is a low-end 30$ model (still miles above a usb adapter), a mid-range 50$ one, a high end 70$ one (only get if you have 3x3 wifi), and a stupidly expensive 110$ one (only get if you have a 4x4 router).

The 30$ one will be perfectly fine, although if you download lots of games regularly or watch lots of movies or videos, you might want to et the 50$ one.
