BIOS update on MSI z390-A pro

I purchased a i5-9600K along with a MSI Z390-A Pro Motherboard. I have read that the BIOS may need a BIOS update prior to using Coffee Lake Refresh CPUs.

How would I do this if I do not have any other Intel Chip to do so?

Z390 was the launch platform for the 9th generation chips, so you won't need a BIOS update. BIOS updates would only be required for Z370 boards.
