a) what are the good 1:1 ratio displays, if there are any?

how mainstream are 1:1 ratio displays?

like how common are they?

like are there any good 1:1 ratio displays at good reasonable price points?

one or all of the surfaces has 1:1 ratio, cant remember which, it doesnt matter tho it's a laptop, and i believe also that other 'innovative' lap from some other company

for size / resolutions, just regular stuff you know, it has to be transportable ofc, everyone moves obviously, unless they're a hermit stuck in their mom's basement playing wow or w/e, or wants a family real fast in the suburbs or w/e

b) portable display arent good yet

i heard that portable displays are too expensive (based on the very very few unhelpful youtubes reviews there are out there)

so thsee being priced far too high would detract from the benefit of having a portable display (that you can transport it without extra delivery costs)

overall, when basic things are calculated, it's not that much over, but there's no benefits, so overall net negative

c) i dunno yet if there are any good displays that can physically rotate & switch between horizontal and vertical (portrait) display

the web atm is extremely and poorly and badly designed

for 80% of productive + common things. you'd want a vertical display

but for some other things like excel/g sheets you'll want a 1:1 or depending how you display the info you put on the excel then maybe wider

as for the whys of the 1) web design problem, 2) the display problem, the entire problem with the display is just the entire commericalisation & history of displays  and you have to read up on all that. what i said is basically the summary, bad commericalisation pretty much. for the web, it's jsut cos ppl who are technical when it comes to the web have absolutely no good understanding of good design or ux or anything that is relevant or that matters, some of this is also attributed to how limiting web tech right now is, primitive programming tech is i guess what some ppl say, wait 30+ years, would be a bit better

anyway, if you helpful answers to a) 1:1 ratio displays, then can just link to very informative and helpful answers

They are practically non-existent. I know Eizo made a 1920×1920 monitor a few years ago, but other than that I can't think of any.

Yep, I've had notifications on for EV2730Q listings on eBay for years and I've never seen it below $800.
