They're all basically the same, you'll at most see a 5 to 6 degree difference, but if it's a good quality one, like arctic silver or the ones that come included with Noctua fans, or even the ones on the bottoms of AiOs, you'll be fine.

oh ok, so factory installed thermal pastes will work just fine?

The best of the best would probably go to thermal grizzly kryonaut, or gelid gc extreme. I believe gc extreme is better for all types of heatsinks though.

That's inferior to any of the good thermal pastes and is electrically conductive.

too say its inferior is foolish, look up the thermal tests. Yes it is conductive but its secured when installed and not near any contacts. You don't install it while your machine is running lol

I have seen thermal tests, and the ic pad performs about 2-3c worse than the best pastes on the market. Thermal conductivity doesn't matter since the thermal pad will always be thicker than a paste.

before trying those famous brands, I would personally try some off brands one with lot of buyers. if you satisfy with the temps makes no sense getting "good ones".

got 2 bottles (10ml i think) still oily after 2 yrs for ~about $0.4, works good~~~

btw toothpaste is better than stock intel crispy paste, also it smells fresh

whatever comes in the box or on the cooler is good, expensive thermal pastes only drop temps 2-5c kind of pointless imo.
